Ravi Kant is the chairman of the advisory board of Akhand Jyoti Eye Hospital.
He is a former vice chairman and managing director of TATA Motors – a $40 billion turnover company. He oversaw acquisition of Jaguar Land Rover, UK; Daewoo, Korea and launch of Ace Truck and Nano car. He was earlier director, Consumer Electronics, Philips and held senior positions at LML, Titan, Kinetic Engineering and Hawkins. He has been chairman/director of several companies e.g. Tata industries, Voltas, Jaguar LandRover, Tata Daewoo, Tata Thailand, Tata Hitachi etc. Currently he is on the board of Vedanta Ltd, Kone Ltd, Finland & Hawkins and is on the advisory board of Accenture, India.
Ravi Kant takes an active interest in education and health areas. He is Chairman, Indian Institute of Management, Rohtak, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad, and is on advisory board of business schools of IIT Kharagpur, Bombay, & China Europe International Business School, Shanghai. Previously he has been associated with NUS, Singapore, Columbia University, National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad and U.S. based non-profit organisations Smile train and Enactus. He has been widely recognized across the world.
