Dr. Ajit Kumar Poddar, based in Bihar, India is the medical director and permanent trustee member of Akhand Jyoti Eye Hospital. He completed his MBBS and MS (Ophthalmology) in the year 1995 and 2002 respectively from Patna University and presently leads the clinical function at Akhand Jyoti Eye Hospital. With more than 15 years of experience in the field of ophthalmology and passion for community service, he is working for the cause of AJEH, which is eradicating curable blindness from low-income states of India. Having presented papers at the state, national and international levels, he has completed over 100,000 surgeries and have organized various CMEs, scientific seminars, and surveys under his leadership.
